2019 Chateau Carbonnieux Blanc - Pessac (PRE-ARRIVAL)

La Mascaronne has been one of our direct import roses for quite some time now. From an exceptional terroir with unique stone terraces, this 45-hectare estate is situated in the heart of Provence, not far from St. Tropez, in rolling hills surrounded by oak forests. The rocky, chalk-clay vineyard lies at 300 meters, sloping south-southwest toward the Mediterranean, with an ideal climate of warm days and cool nights, and the omnipresence of Mistral winds. The domaine was acquired in 1999 and completely renovated by American Tom Bove, the original developer of Chateau Miraval. In 2020 the estate was purchased by Michel Reybier owner of Chateau Cos d'Estournel. Soon after, NBA legend (and wine lover!) Tony Parker was announced as a partner. We love the style of Mascaronne, and with its pure fruit and perfect pale color it's truly a "textbook" provencal rose!
