Verdelho (meaning "greenish") is a white wine grape variety that is grown throughout Portugal but is most closely associated with the island of Madeira. The grape is used in the production of both dry and sweet wines, and often draws comparison to Chenin Blanc, Godello, and Semillon. It's still a relatively obscure grape variety, but it is gaining popularity in recent years, thanks to its ability to adapt to a variety of climates.
Marked by licorice, menthol, cherry and spice aromas and flavors, this red is densely structured and intense. A solid matrix of tannins provides support and a strong grip on the finish.

Since the first vintage back in 2007 this red blend by Sean has always been a customer favorite. Sean and Bruce Devlin, the wine maker at Ballentine Vineyards have carefully selected this blend from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This is, without a doubt, one of the best blends Sean has made for us! Only 42 cases were produced.
