This is the “third” wine of famed classed-growth Chateau Calon Segur. From younger vines, this is made for earlier drinking while you wait for the Grand Vin to mature. I tried a bottle of this a few nights ago and it’s fantastic. After about an hour of air, it really does drink like a “baby Calon”. Outstanding value!

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Pedesclaux has a beguiling perfume of violets, warm cassis, preserved plums and licorice with suggestions of rose hip tea, dark chocolate, kirsch and cinnamon toast. Medium to full-bodied, the palate bursts with vibran...

A Saint-Estèphe of stature and vertical intensity, the 2021 Calon Ségur dazzles from the very first taste. Spice, menthol, licorice, black cherry, mint and espresso are some of the many notes that build with a bit of coaxing. The 2021 clocks in at a mo...
