2022 Domaine Mouton - VDP Syrah (PRE ARRIVAL)

Larceny Bourbon is the latest release from Heaven Hill Distillery. This small batch bourbon consists of 100 barrels “or less” aged in the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors of the aging warehouse. The name refers to John E. Fitzgerald’s (Old Fitzgerald namesake) propensity to use his keys to the aging warehouses to “steal” bourbon from the very best barrels at his disposal. These barrels became known as the “Fitzgerald barrels”. 

Known for its rich, complex and expressive nose, the most recently named Cru of the Côtes du Rhône (Cairanne became a “Cru” in February 2016), is the most recent entry in our portfolio. Back in 2013, we took over the former Cairanne based Estate “Aéria” and elaborated a first of the kind. 12 hectares, located 22 km away from Courthézon, 15 – 50 year old vines, clay-limestone grounds on areas known as “Estévenas”, “les Douyes” and “les Guarrigues”, make a perfect age-worthy type wine alongside our Châteauneuf du Pape.

A long time Bassin's direct import this wonderful Domaine based in the beautiful town of Sablet makes authentic, terroir driven wines that sell for a song. There may be no better "all purpose" red on the planet!
