2023 Bordeaux is Another Winner

The Wine Advocate in bottle scores are out and 2023 Bordeaux is another winner 

From barrel, we characterized 2023 as a hybrid Bordeaux vintage, uniting at its best the depth and flesh of a sunny vintage with the vibrant, expressive aromas and flavors, evocative of fresh fruits and flowers, more typical of a cooler year. Revisiting the 2023s from bottle confirmed those impressions. The vast majority of wines met or surpassed the expectations we formed in April 2024. Indeed, tasting them was a real pleasure. This is an immensely consumer-friendly vintage: it’s good now; it will be good tomorrow; and it will be good in 20 years. While some might wonder whether the 2023s are too good to be great, we do not share this view, and we are persuaded that the best wines’ sensuality, harmony and sense of identity require no qualification.
