2023 Samuel Billaud - Petit Chablis (750ml)

Samuel Billaud calls this "Petit Chablis deluxe" — and for good reason. Rather than a typical entry-level plot, this comes from a parcel just above Grand Cru Les Clos, sharing a rare vein of Kimmeridgian limestone usually reserved for Chablis's top sites. It's a piece of the estate Samuel was determined to hold onto when he split from the family domaine in 2009, and it shows: vibrant citrus and just-ripe pineapple layered over real stony minerality, with a creamy, silky-smooth length that punches well above its appellation. Serious, sea-breeze-driven Chablis at an entry-level price.
