Rooted in over a century of family stewardship, this 2024 Pieropan Soave DOC Classico Calvarino captures Venetian volcanic terrain through a single historic vineyard purchased in 1901. Situated between 95 and 145 meters elevation on basalt-rich soil, the northwest-exposed plots mature organic vines aged thirty to sixty years, balancing solar exposure with thermal retention to sustain precise acid structures throughout the growing season.

Built primarily from a 70 percent Garganega foundation blended with 30 percent Trebbiano di Soave, every cluster is harvested by hand in two successive passes to secure optimal maturity levels. Following gentle destemming and pressing, the must ferments at controlled temperatures inside glass-lined concrete tanks. The wine finishes its production cycle aging on fine lees for approximately twelve months, building textural length while preserving transparent primary fruit markers.

Tasting Profile
A straw-yellow hue with green-gold reflections introduces aromatics centered on white floral notes, citrus peel, elderberry, pear, and red apple. Secondary nuances of toasted hazelnut and crushed limestone weave through the bouquet. The palate delivers a lean, dry entry guided by razor-sharp acidity and mid-palate weight that resolves into a marked, saline-mineral finish characterized by extended persistence.

Suggested Foods
The wine’s crisp architecture and oceanic undertones align naturally with light protein preparations. Serve chilled alongside poached fish, shellfish, or a creamy risotto.
