Château Quintus was created in 2011 when Domaine Clarence Dillon (owners of Château Haut-Brion) acquired and merged the historic Tertre Daugay and L'Arrosée estates, applying the same meticulous, precision-driven winemaking philosophy that's defined Haut-Brion for generations. Sitting on the limestone plateau above the Dordogne with a mix of clay and gravel soils, the property produces a Merlot-dominant blend with Cabernet Franc. 2015 was an outstanding Right Bank vintage, and this wine shows real depth: ripe dark fruit, cassis, and graphite on the nose, with a full-bodied, richly structured palate, polished tannins, and a long, precise finish. Serious, ambitious Saint-Émilion from one of Bordeaux's most prestigious ownership groups, drinking beautifully now with further aging potential.

94+ Points
"A blend of 76% Merlot and 24% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Quintus has a medium to deep garnet-purple hue, opening with aromas of baked cherries, warm red currants and crushed black plums with touches of cigar box, violets and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, it sports very finely-grained, plush tannins and remains seamlessly refreshing and elegant in the mouth with a seductively nuanced flavor profile, culminating with wonderful length and depth."
