2022 Louis Jadot – Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru (750ml)

Region Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, France
Grape Pinot Noir
Vintage 2022

Among the most storied Grand Cru vineyards in all of Burgundy, situated next to Le Chambertin itself on Gevrey's celebrated east-facing slope. Louis Jadot produces a rich and sumptuous wine with an extraordinary balance of power, elegance and finesse, with a brocaded texture finishing with a long, lingering note of berries and oak — a wine that will certainly improve up to 20–25 years in the cellar. The 2022 vintage in Burgundy is widely regarded as exceptional — generous, concentrated and age-worthy. Patience required; the reward will be extraordinary.

96-98 Points
"The 2022 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru is an exquisitely defined

bouquet with layers of pure red fruit, crushed rock, and a light sea

spray influence, very focused and conveying a sense of energy. The

palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. There’s impressive

backbone, exerting grip and presence. Yet it is also very elegant and

poised. Quite spicy towards the finish, this Clos-de-Bèze lingers in the

mouth 40 seconds after it has exited. Superb
