Llano Colorado is a family vineyard operation based in the Valle de San Vicente, along the original Antigua Ruta del Vino south of Ensenada, and ranks among the most important grape-growing areas in Baja California. The family has built a reputation over three generations as one of the region's premier growers, supplying fruit to numerous wineries throughout Valle de Guadalupe. Their own Lágrimas line of white wines, including this Sauvignon Blanc, is made in partnership with Vinícola Regional de Ensenada under the guidance of respected local winemakers Camilo Magoni and José Luis Durand.

This wine is made entirely from Sauvignon Blanc grown at elevations between 100 and 150 meters in the Valle de San Vicente, where clay and sandy soils and moderate yields per hectare help concentrate flavor in the fruit. The grapes are whole-bunch pressed to keep the juice clean and fresh, then fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks using a mix of selected and native yeasts, without any oak influence, to preserve the variety's natural brightness and aromatic character.

The finished wine is pale straw yellow with bronze highlights, showing fresh aromas of green apple, pear, and citrus alongside notes of lemongrass and orange blossom. On the palate it is crisp and lively, dry with present acidity and a fruit-driven finish. It pairs well with oysters, ceviche, tuna salad, or grilled fish and shellfish.
