From Georgia’s Kakheti region, Gurashvili’s 2022 Saperavi Qvevri captures centuries of winemaking in a single bottle. This red is the robust, authentic expression of Saperavi crafted in the traditional qvevri method.

Winemaking & Terroir: Organically farmed Saperavi vines grow at elevations of 400–500 meters in Kakheti. Grapes are hand-harvested in September, then fermented in qvevri on native yeasts with full skin contact and a month-long maceration before bottling unfiltered and unfined.

Appearance: Deep ruby with a pomegranate hue.

Aromas & Flavor: The nose opens with blackberry, cherry, mocha, and spice. On the palate, the wine is bold, silky, and textured, with juicy tannins, balanced acidity, and rich dark fruit flavors. The dense, lingering finish reinforces its age-worthiness.
