Powder House is the culmination of Mark Aubert's 30+ years producing Chardonnay — planted with one of his rarest clones on the distinctly powdery Goldridge soils of this hilly Sonoma Coast site. Where the Sugar Shack seduces with tropical opulence, Powder House rewards with precision and tension. The 2024 exemplifies freshness and liveliness, wafting forth with bright tones of lime leaf, lime curd, tuberose, and fleshy nectarine. Tightly coiled, it slowly unfolds in the glass to reveal structural complexity and deceptive richness, with chalky mineral elements and cooling menthol reinforcing its taut composition.  Full-bodied, the palate is tight-knit and electric with vibrant orchard and citrus fruit flavors, framed by a crisp backbone and satiny texture, finishing long and minerally.
