Unapologetic Jamaican funk — straight from one of the island's great heritage distilleries.

Selected and personally imported by Ed Hamilton — the "Minister of Rum" — who travels to distilleries across the Caribbean to source and blend rums that meet his exacting standards. The Pot Still Black is distilled entirely in pot stills at the legendary Worthy Park Estate in Jamaica, where sugar cane has been grown and rum produced since 1670, located 1,200 feet above sea level in the Vale of Lluidas.

A blend of extra light, light, and heavy pot still rums made from molasses, colored with a double-strength black caramel for its deep, striking hue. Bottled at 46.5% ABV with no added sweeteners — everything you taste is pure rum character.

The nose is exuberant — ripe tropical fruit, burnt sugar, baking spice, and a whiff of smoke. On the palate, robust and earthy, layered with molasses, dried fruit, clove, and green banana, carried by an oily texture and a persistent savory finish.

This is deep, rich Jamaican pot still character — heavy molasses forward with notes of tobacco and nutmeg, and an unmistakable funk that Tiki enthusiasts and rum purists alike consider essential.  A benchmark for classic cocktails or a bold, serious pour all on its own.

"Black rum distilled from fermented molasses. Aged up to five years.

A blend of light, very light and heavy pot still rums from the Worthy Park Estate where rum has been made since 1670. Colored with double-strength black sugar-based caramel, this pot still rum embodies the heavy aroma and flavor of Jamaican rum. Over-ripe bananas dominate the aroma and yield to spice, sugar cane and ripe fruit in the body. The finish is reminiscent of the aroma with ripe bananas and vegetal notes.
