Maison Trimbach has been rooted in Ribeauvillé since 1626, when Jean Trimbach was first recognized as a citizen of nearby Riquewihr, and the family has carried the name through thirteen generations since. Today the estate is guided by twelfth-generation winemaker Pierre Trimbach and his nephew Julien, with Pierre's brother Jean serving as the family's globetrotting export ambassador. Trimbach has held the distinction of being the top-selling still wine producer from Alsace in the United States since 1978, and the estate earned HVE-3 organic certification in 2023.

This bottling draws on vines up to seventy years old, planted mainly around Ribeauvillé with some fruit from Hunawihr, on marl and limestone soils shaped by the geological fault line running through the region. The grapes are harvested by hand as late as possible to ensure full ripeness, then gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel over three to four weeks. No malolactic fermentation is allowed to take place, preserving the wine's natural acidity, and it rests in bottle at the winery for months before release so it arrives ready to drink yet built for further aging.

The nose shows ripe pear, peach, and mirabelle plum alongside citrus and white flowers. On the palate, the wine is generous and juicy, with bright citrus freshness lifting a base of chalky minerality through to an elegant finish. It's a strong match for grilled sea bream, roast poultry, or a well-aged cheese.
