Domaine Weinbach traces its roots to 1898, when the Faller brothers purchased and restored a former Capuchin monastery and its walled vineyard, the Clos des Capucins, near Kaysersberg in Alsace. Théo Faller later expanded the estate's holdings into several of the region's finest Grand Cru sites, and since 2016 his granddaughter Catherine Faller has run the domaine alongside her sons Eddy and Théo, continuing a family tradition built on precision and patience in the cellar.

Les Treilles du Loup draws on Gewurztraminer grown in the Wolfreben lieu-dit, where granitic sand soils on the plain give the wine its distinctive lift and freshness. The estate has farmed biodynamically since 2005, and grapes for this cuvée are picked by hand with careful sorting for ripeness. Whole clusters are pressed gently, then fermented slowly with native yeasts in large, old oak foudres, a method that favors purity of fruit over overt wood influence and leaves a touch of natural sweetness in the finished wine.

Expect an aromatic glass of damask rose, white peach, and orange zest, with white tea and a whisk of pink pepper adding vivacity, all carried through a long, perfumed finish. The wine's gentle sweetness makes it a natural match for spicy dishes like pad thai or shrimp spring rolls, and it pairs equally well with smoked salmon or a sushi spread.
