Bitburger Premium Pilsner is produced by Bitburger Braugruppe GmbH, a family-owned brewery founded in 1817 in Bitburg, a town in Germany's Eifel region. Now in its seventh generation of family ownership, Bitburger has grown into one of Germany's most modern and prominent private breweries while keeping its founding values of care and craftsmanship intact. The brewery began brewing in the pilsner style in 1909 and later helped establish "Pilsener" as an officially recognized beer category in Germany, cementing the phrase "Bitte ein Bit" as a household expression across the country.

This bottom-fermented pilsner is brewed strictly according to Germany's Reinheitsgebot, or Purity Law, using only water, malted barley, hops, and hop extract. Bitburger sources certified Hallertau hops and pure deep spring water, fermenting with a proprietary natural yeast strain. The finished beer reaches 4.8 percent alcohol by volume with an original gravity of 11.3 percent and a bitterness rating of 33 IBU.

The beer pours a crystal-clear, straw-colored gold beneath a fine, long-lasting white foam. The nose shows brioche, honey, and fresh gingerbread over ripe grain. On the palate, crisp malt sweetness meets herbal hop bitterness, closing in a dry, refreshing finish.
