Coniston Brewing Bluebird Bitter Premium XB English Pale Ale 16.9oz Bottle

Named for the boats Sir Donald Campbell used to set seven World Water Speed Records, including several right on Coniston Water itself, Bluebird Bitter has become one of England's most decorated cask ales, crowned Champion Beer of Britain at the 1998 Great British Beer Festival. This bottled Premium XB version, brewed slightly stronger than the cask original, is built almost entirely around Challenger hops, giving it a big orange fruit aroma balanced against biscuity malt. Exceedingly pale in color with just a touch of crystal malt for warmth, it delivers juicy malt and tart, zesty hop character through the middle, finishing tart and well balanced with a lingering citrus note. Bottle conditioned to capture the same character as a proper cask pour, this is a genuine benchmark English bitter.
