High West The Prisioner's Share Whiskey 750ml

A blend of straight bourbon and rye whiskeys sourced from multiple mash bills (High West and Constellation Brands share a parent company with The Prisoner Wine Company), finished in French oak barrels that previously held The Prisoner's signature red blend from Napa Valley. This year's batch spans whiskeys aged 4 to 12 years. Expect a rich, jammy nose of grape jelly, fig, cherry, and blackberry with a chocolate-covered cherry note, moving into a silky palate of apple, grape, and cherry cola, with rye-driven pine and cedar underneath, finishing sweet with lingering red fruit and a whisper of smoke. A distinctly wine-forward take on finished American whiskey, and a genuine change of pace from High West's better-known port-finished Midwinter Night's Dram.
