Les Angles sits just east of the village of Volnay, bordering the village appellation, and is described by the Rare Wine Co. as the "supple" entry point into Boillot's trio of Volnay premier crus — more accessible in its youth than the old-vine Brouillards or the prestigious Caillerets, but no less expressive of Volnay's signature delicacy and floral lift. The vines here are over 65 years old, farmed with the same meticulous care that Louis Boillot applied across the entire domaine before passing the reins to son Clément, who continues the estate's quiet ascent as one of the Côte d'Or's most admired small producers.
