2023 Domaine Faiveley - Montagny Les Cent Pieces (750ml)

Faiveley's 2023 Montagny Les Cent Pieces is the estate's flagship Montagny cuvée, named for the 100 barrels the plot yields, drawn from nearly five hectares of 30-year-old Chardonnay planted in the Le Reuilly and Les Joncs climats.

It comes from marly, stony soils laced with natural springs at elevations up to 400 metres, lending a brisk, mineral-driven backbone to the wine.

Aged 16 months on the lees — 80% in tank, 20% in French oak (10% new) — it offers Côte de Beaune richness at a Chalonnaise price.

The 2023 is delicately floral on the nose, with lemon zest, green apple, white flowers, and chalky minerality. The palate is vibrant, concentrated, and impeccably balanced, with a silky texture and a saline, lingering finish.
