Les Suchots is one of Vosne-Romanée's most celebrated premier crus — a large, elongated hillside parcel running along the border with Nuits-Saint-Georges, known for producing some of the most complex and age-worthy premier crus in the village. Hudelot-Noëllat's 0.45-hectare holding is planted to century-old vines, and Burghound has described this bottling as "reference standard and by far the best value here" — high praise in a lineup that includes Richebourg and Romanée-Saint-Vivant. The 2024 is a dramatically small production — Charles van Canneyt harvested on September 18, destemming 100% of the fruit, and made just 30% of his normal volume across the estate. The Suchots shows the site's hallmark depth and Vosne spice: layered red and dark fruit, floral lift, fine-grained tannins, and the long, pure mineral finish that defines this parcel. A wine to cellar but already showing its pedigree.
