Les Murgers des Dents de Chien — named for the sharp limestone outcroppings said to resemble a dog's teeth — is Saint-Aubin's most prestigious premier cru, positioned high on the Côte d'Or escarpment directly above the Chevalier-Montrachet and Montrachet grand cru vineyards. Pierre Girardin, one of the Côte de Beaune's brightest young talents, farms his vines with meticulous care on these thin, Bathonian limestone soils, coaxing wines of real tension, precision, and mineral depth at a fraction of the price of neighboring Puligny. The 2024 delivers the site's signature profile: golden-green hue, a nose of orchard fruit, citrus blossom, and flinty minerality, with a saline, mineral-laced palate of impressive focus and a long, clean finish.
