Purlieu is the project of Julien Fayard — a Frenchman who cut his teeth at some of Napa's most celebrated estates before striking out on his own with a mission to craft honest, terroir-driven wines that don't require a second mortgage to enjoy. Le Pich is his entry point, and vintage after vintage it punches well above its class.

A rich, opulent wine, Le Pich offers a compelling mix of black cherry, plum, chocolate, cloves, new leather, and licorice — bold and sumptuous, delivering the classic Napa Cabernet experience in full.  Deep garnet-purple in the glass, with vibrant notes of crushed blueberries, kirsch, and boysenberries, plus hints of spice cake and underbrush — medium to full-bodied, softly textured, and packed with spicy black fruits, finishing with impressive length.
