Crafted by Duckhorn Vineyards, an iconic Napa Valley winery founded in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn, this Cabernet Sauvignon draws fruit from premier sub-appellations including Rutherford, Oakville, St. Helena, and Calistoga. Under winemaker Renée Ary, the wine blends 94% Cabernet Sauvignon with small portions of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, a signature touch that reflects Duckhorn's Bordeaux-variety heritage. It spends 16 months aging in French oak barrels, half of them new, which lends structure without overpowering the fruit.

The nose opens with dark red berries, cassis, and cardamom, layered with fresh tobacco, crushed stone, and warm oak spice. On the palate, flavors of fig jam, boysenberry pie, and blackberry unfold alongside notes of cocoa and cola, all framed by firm, dusty tannins. The finish is long, polished, and well balanced, showing both power and finesse. At 14.5% ABV, this full bodied red is approachable now but built to reward a decade or more in the cellar.

A classic choice for pairing with grilled steak, braised short ribs, rack of lamb, or aged cheeses.

92 Points
"Bright and refined with aromas of blackberries, cassis, fresh tobacco, crushed stones and dark chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and polished with fine tannins and vibrant fruit. Defined and balanced with a touch of minerality."
