2022 Crosby Roamann - Estate Chardonnay Napa Valley (750ml)

Crosby Roamann began when its founders left their jobs and their Brooklyn apartment behind to chase a different kind of life in Napa Valley. With no inherited vineyard or famous name to lean on, they built the winery from scratch, one barrel at a time, around a simple goal: crafting the finest wine possible from their own sustainably farmed estate vineyards.

This Chardonnay comes from the estate's own sustainably farmed vines in Napa Valley, kept to a tiny production of only around a hundred cases. The grapes are picked to balance ripeness with fresh acidity, then fermented and aged with attention to lees contact, which builds texture without tipping the wine toward heaviness. The result stays dry and food-friendly, with oak used to add structure rather than sweetness.

The wine is spiced and creamy on the palate, with dried lemon and grapefruit pith giving way to baked cinnamon apple and warm pear. A touch of sour lemon candy adds brightness, and a warming lift carries into a long finish. Pour it with seared scallops, baked brie, or a warm apple tart.
