Dark Horse - California Pinot Grigio (375ml Can)

This Pinot Grigio is built on a base of Pinot Grigio blended with a smaller portion of unoaked Chardonnay and a touch of Viognier, a strategy that adds more body and aromatic depth than a straightforward single varietal bottling typically offers. The wine is sourced from California vineyards chosen for their ability to deliver ripe, easy drinking fruit character rather than a single specific site or appellation. Kept unoaked and fermented with an emphasis on freshness, the wine is designed to showcase bright fruit and crisp acidity above all else.

The current release leads with honeycomb and Meyer lemon peel on the nose, layered with ripe pear, green apple, and white peach. The palate is rich yet crisp, with tart apple and juicy citrus carried by a light mineral edge through a clean, dry finish. It pairs nicely with grilled shrimp, a simple green salad, or fresh oysters.
