Crown Royal Peach PINT Whiskey 375ml
Crown Royal traces back to 1939, when a Canadian spirits entrepreneur set out to craft a whisky worthy of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth's historic visit to Canada that year. He reportedly trialed more than 600 blends before settling on a smooth combination of roughly fifty whiskies, presented to the royal couple in a cut-glass decanter wrapped in a purple bag with gold stitching, a presentation the brand still echoes today. Crown Royal Peach belongs to the brand's Flavor Series, joining releases like Regal Apple and Salted Caramel, and is produced at the Crown Royal Distilling Company in Gimli, Manitoba, using the distillery's signature column distillation process.
This expression starts with a blend of Canadian whiskies selected by Gimli's master blender, distilled from grain sourced primarily from Manitoba and neighboring provinces, then aged in white oak barrels. Once matured and blended, the whisky is infused with the flavor of fresh Georgia peaches that have been harvested, de-stoned, pressed, and strained to capture their aroma before being combined with the base whisky. The finished product is bottled at 70 proof, or 35% alcohol by volume.
The nose leads with ripe peach and peach skin, layered with warm oak spice and a hint of citrus. On the palate, that peach character continues alongside creamy vanilla, butterscotch, and a touch of caramel, all riding on the smooth, rounded body typical of Crown Royal's base whisky. The finish is sweet and easygoing, closing with a lingering, sugary peach note. It's an approachable choice for sipping over ice or mixing into a simple iced tea cocktail.
