Domaine Antoine Jobard traces back to 1971, when the family's Domaine Pierre Jobard was divided between brothers Charles and François. François's share became Domaine François Jobard, renamed Domaine Antoine Jobard in 2006 once his son took over. Antoine has since refined the house style toward finer lees work and a slightly later bottling schedule than his father used, part of a broader push toward tension, precision, and terroir transparency across a compact 5-hectare estate.

The village Meursault is assembled from seven lieux-dits, including the prized En la Barre parcel that Antoine once bottled on its own but now folds into this cuvée for greater balance, alongside sites like Sous La Velle and Les Chaumes de Narvaux. The wine is aged in barrel before an extended stretch on the lees, then bottled in the spring of its second year, a patient approach meant to build complexity without heaviness.

The nose is crisp and focused, with fine minerality, light undergrowth notes, and hints of jasmine tea and white flower. The palate is tangy and energetic, showing apricot and peach skin, closing on a long, saline finish. Pair it with grilled langoustines, roast veal, or Saint-Marcellin cheese.

90-92 Points
"The 2023 Meursault Village, a blend of seven lieux-dits, has a crisp and

focused bouquet with ne mineralité and light mossy/undergrowth

scents that emerge with time. The palate is very well balanced with a

slightly tangy entry. There is plenty of energy here, remaining focused

and poised with touches of apricot and peach skin toward the nish.

This will be a very pretty Meursault Village, just like the 2022.
