Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils has deep roots in Chablis, where the family has owned land in Les Clos since purchasing their original parcel there in 1904. The modern domaine took shape in 2001, when Christian handed the estate to his son Fabien, who has since converted all of the family's vineyards to organic farming, fully certified by 2013. Today the domaine holds more of Les Clos than any other producer in the appellation, working from a modern, climate-controlled facility alongside a seventeenth-century cellar in the heart of the town.

Les Clos sits on a south to southeast-facing slope of Kimmeridgian limestone and clay, with vines averaging fifty to sixty years old. The Moreau family's holding runs from the base of the hill nearly to its crest, and the fruit from the top, middle, and bottom sections is vinified separately in cask before being blended into a single cuvée, giving the finished wine added layers and complexity.

Expect citrus, white flowers, and a deep chalky, flinty minerality, with real weight and length on the palate. This is a structured Chablis built for the cellar, best paired with poached lobster, roast veal, or an aged sheep's milk cheese.
