2023 Jobard-Morey - Meursault Narvaux (750ml)

The Jobard-Morey estate is a small family domaine based in Meursault, now run by Remi Ehret alongside his nephew Valentin Jobard. Together they farm just over four hectares, working each parcel by hand and letting vineyard work, rather than cellar technique, drive the character of the wines. The result is a range of racy, terroir-driven Meursaults that stay true to their individual sites.

Les Narvaux sits high on the slopes above the village, a site prized for wines of real tension and cut. The vines here are around fifty-five years old and root through barely a foot of soil before hitting limestone bedrock, which keeps yields low and concentrates the fruit. Farming is organic, and the wine is vinified with careful, minimal handling to preserve the vineyard's natural freshness and precision.

The nose shows white flowers, pear and crisp green apple, with toasted almond and a light citrus edge. The palate is silky yet taut, carried by a chalky minerality that gives real energy and length. It is a wine built for both immediate enjoyment and further aging. Pour it with grilled trout, roast pork, or a young, soft-ripened cheese.
