Cognac Park Cigar Blend Cognac 750ml
Cognac Park is produced by the Tessendier family, who have been distilling in the region since 1880 and now oversee the brand's full range through its fourth generation. Originally a supplier of cognac to other houses for blending, the family launched Cognac Park in the 1990s as its own label, distilling, aging, and bottling entirely from its own estate.
The Cigar Blend draws on Ugni Blanc eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, aged for a minimum of twenty-five to thirty years in French oak with a medium toast, largely in the humid cellars of the house's Chai Paradis. That long, damp aging encourages the concentration and rancio character the blend is known for, resulting in a cognac built with enough intensity and structure to stand up to a full-bodied cigar rather than being overwhelmed by one.
The cognac shows a deep, dark amber in the glass, opening with honey, saffron, and gingerbread layered with cranberry and vanilla. On the palate, toffee and dark chocolate give way to leather, tobacco leaf, and winter spice, finishing long and slightly drying with a whisper of orange peel.
