Cognac Park Cigar Blend Cognac 750ml
Since 1880, Distillerie Tessendier & Fils has been producing Cognac sold to the great houses for use in their blends. It wasn't until the 1990s that the fourth-generation family decided to bottle under their own label β and Maison Park was born. Distiller It remains a small, privately owned estate where everything is distilled, matured, blended, and bottled in-house. The cognac world's best kept secret.
The Cigar Blend is their most distinctive expression. A blend of 70% Grande Champagne and 30% Petite Champagne eaux-de-vie, distilled exclusively from Ugni Blanc grapes, it spends 12 months in new medium-toast barrels before being transferred to traditional Limousin oak casks β that initial new wood contact is the key, coaxing out the spicy, chocolatey depth that makes this Cognac such a natural companion to a fine cigar.
The nose opens with honey, saffron, and gingerbread, tinted with fresh cranberry and vanilla. The palate is full-bodied and harmonious , with hazelnuts, liquorice, clove, dark chocolate, almonds, plum, and mango lingering long on the finish.Β Wine Enthusiast notes herbaceous depth that almost reads like an amaro, with caramel sweetness, orange peel, and a nutty, drying close β 90 points.
Pair it with a Honduran or Cuban cigar. Or a square of dark salted caramel chocolate. Or nothing at all β it needs no accompaniment.
