Park VS Carte Blanche Cognac 750ml
Cognac Park traces back to Distillerie Tessendier, founded by Gaston Tessendier in 1880. The modern Park range began in 1993, when Jérôme Tessendier partnered with Dominic Park to create bespoke, made-to-measure blends, a concept that helped establish what's now recognized as craft cognac. Today, brothers Jérôme and Lillian Tessendier, fourth-generation master cellars, continue the house's small-batch approach, drawing on fourteen cellars along the Charente River near Jarnac and Cognac.
VS Carte Blanche blends eaux-de-vie from the Fins Bois and Petite Champagne crus, distilled entirely from Ugni Blanc grapes. The spirit spends its first six months in new Limousin oak casks before moving to older barrels, where it continues aging for a total of at least three years, comfortably clearing the legal VS minimum while still emphasizing youth and vibrancy over heavy oak influence.
The color is a bright amber. On the nose, floral and fruity notes lead, with fresh grape, ripe apricot, and a touch of lychee alongside spice and jammy fruit. The palate is soft and rounded, showing plum, baked apple, and cherry, with vanilla and light chocolate sweetness carrying through a short, gently peppery finish backed by dry oak. It drinks well over ice or with a splash of water, which opens up the fruit considerably, and its bright character also makes it a natural base for cocktails.
