DeKuyper traces its roots to Schiedam, the Dutch town long regarded as the heart of the Netherlands' distilling trade, where the family-run house was founded in 1695. Now operating as DeKuyper Royal Distillers, the company has carried its liqueur-making traditions across more than three centuries, weathering shifts in ownership and changing tastes while remaining a dominant name in cordials and mixing liqueurs sold around the world.

This White Crème de Menthe is built around peppermint leaves and mint essential oils rather than the milder spearmint used in some competing brands, giving it a more assertive, peppermint-forward character. DeKuyper relies on low-pressure distillation, a method that extracts the mint's aromatic compounds at lower temperatures, preserving brighter, fresher notes instead of the flatter, cooked flavors that can result from more aggressive processing. The finished liqueur is bottled clear at 30% ABV, using only natural flavors without high fructose corn syrup.

The liqueur pours crystal clear with pungent, clean peppermint on the nose. On the palate it is smooth and slightly syrupy, carrying pure peppermint oil and a touch of cream sweetness before finishing with a cooling, mouth-cleansing snap that fades toward a hint of anise. It works equally well as a standalone sipper over ice or as a component in classic mint-forward cocktails.
