DeKuyper Peachtree Peach Schnapps comes from De Kuyper Royal Distillers, a family-founded house that has operated out of Schiedam, the historic Dutch distilling town near Rotterdam, since 1695. Launched in 1984, Peachtree is credited with creating the peach schnapps category outright, and it has gone on to become the world's best-selling peach liqueur, with well over 13 million bottles sold across more than 100 countries.

The liqueur is made by macerating sun-ripened peaches and peach botanicals sourced from around the world in neutral spirit, allowing the fruit to steep and release its flavor before the base is distilled. This process gives the finished liqueur its signature crystal-clear appearance, since the color comes entirely from the spirit rather than any added fruit pulp or skins. DeKuyper blends the macerate with natural sweeteners rather than corn syrup or artificial flavoring, and bottles the result at 15% ABV, a proof low enough to keep it easy to mix in volume.

On the nose, Peachtree offers ripe, sweet peach with a light floral lift. The palate follows through with juicy, confectionery peach flavor, moderate sweetness, and a subtle peppery warmth from the alcohol that keeps the profile from tipping into cloying territory.
