Granier (Prado) Mon Pastis Liqueur 1L
Granier Mon Pastis was introduced in 1980 in Provence, a region inseparable from the culture of pastis, the anise-flavored aperitif that rose to prominence across southern France after absinthe was banned in the early twentieth century. The brand carries forward that regional tradition, tracing back to the same Marseille pastis-making heritage that shaped classic labels like Prado, and continues to be crafted with the same generational know-how that defines Provençal anise spirits.
Mon Pastis is built through careful herbal infusion, blending anise with licorice, vanilla, caraway, coriander, fennel, and a touch of cocoa. Great attention goes into selecting each botanical before it is infused into the spirit, following the traditional approach used for Mediterranean anise liqueurs rather than a more industrial shortcut. The finished pastis is bottled at 45 percent alcohol by volume, in keeping with the strength typical of the category.
In the glass it shows an ivory hue with delicate, honeyish aromas that carry a subtle warmth. The palate is mildly sweet, dominated by heavy licorice and anise flavors that linger well into the finish, which turns notably spicy at the end. As with most pastis, it is traditionally diluted with cool water before drinking.
