Jack Daniel's Honey PINT 375ml

Jack Daniel's has been distilling in Lynchburg, Tennessee since 1866, built on a mash bill of 80 percent corn, 12 percent barley, and 8 percent rye that the distillery still uses for its Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey today. Tennessee Honey arrived in the spring of 2011, becoming the first new permanent addition to the Jack Daniel's lineup since Gentleman Jack debuted in 1988 and opening the brand's move into flavored whiskey.

To make it, Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey is blended with a proprietary honey liqueur crafted in-house, built around real honey rather than artificial honey flavoring. The result keeps the base character of Jack Daniel's whiskey intact while layering in natural sweetness, and it is bottled at 35 percent alcohol by volume, noticeably softer than the standard Old No. 7 expression.

The nose leans into acacia and wildflower honey, with the classic Jack Daniel's notes of banana and caramel still present underneath. On the palate it is sweet and sticky, true to a honey liqueur, warmed by vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. The finish turns drier, with soft, lingering honey giving way to the whiskey's characteristic American oak character.
