Kota Pandan Liqueur is a collaboration between mixologist Nico de Soto and Maison Gabriel Boudier, a family owned liqueur house that has been operating in Dijon, France since 1874. De Soto, who built his career behind the bar in Paris, New York, and London, spent years championing pandan as a cocktail ingredient before partnering with Boudier's distillers to translate the leaf's flavor into a ready-to-use liqueur, eliminating the need for bartenders to make pandan syrup from scratch.

The liqueur is produced by steeping pandan leaves sourced from Thailand in neutral spirit for several days, then distilling the infusion in Dijon before it is lightly sweetened. This process is meant to capture the fresh, green character of the leaf rather than relying on extracts or artificial flavoring, and the finished product is bottled clear at 18% alcohol by volume, unaged and non-vintage.

On the nose, Kota offers a mix of vanilla, toasted almond, and buttery biscuit aromas layered over fresh green pandan. The palate is smooth and creamy, carrying notes of vanilla custard, toasted rice, and sweet grass, with the finish turning long and biscuity with a faint vegetal edge. Its balance of sweetness and herbaceous depth makes it a versatile modifier for tropical and rum based cocktails.
