2021 Alain Hudelot-Noëllat – Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru (750ml)

One of Burgundy's most hallowed Grand Cru sites, now guided by Alain's grandson Charles Van Canneyt from their prized 0.8-hectare holding near the château. Bursting with energy from tingly acidity and nicely corralled tannins, with rose petal perfume, Damson and black plum fruits, and savory minerality on the finish. Open and aromatic on the nose with bright red and black fruit, iris flower and touches of blue fruit; beautifully balanced on the palate with a fine bead of acidity, blood orange and savory notes — a Clos de Vougeot that deserves cellaring.
