Bottled unfiltered and unpasteurized directly from resting oak casks, this spring 2020 en rama release from Bodegas Emilio Lustau captures the precise coastal character of Sanlúcar de Barrameda before merging back into the larger solera system. As an early-bottle vintage expression, it preserves the fresh flor-driven phenology typical of biologically aged sherries while offering a distinct snapshot of that production cycle.

Pale gold in appearance, this sherry opens with aromas of fresh sea spray, green almonds, chamomile, and lightly toasted bread dough. The palate delivers a sharp, saline minerality reinforced by crisp natural acidity, leading to a dry, medium-light finish that lingers with touches of bitter orange peel, pressed olive, and a subtle nutty depth developed during extended yeast coverage beneath the cork.

Serve chilled between 46–50°F (8–10°C) in a traditional jerezano glass to concentrate its aromatic complexity. The brisk salinity and lean structure cut cleanly through fatty cured meats, roasted almonds, and delicate seafood preparations like oysters, grilled sardines, or citrus ceviche. No decanting is required; simply pour gently straight from the bottle to preserve the wine’s fine lees and maintain its characteristic fresh pressure.

"Sanl?car de Barrameda sits on the estuary of the Guadalquivir river with Atlantic breezes coming off the ocean. Its microclimate impregnates the yeasts growing on the surface of the Manzanilla with a rare sea salt character. Selected for its delicacy, this Manzanilla is aged under ?flor? in American oak casks for five years and bottled with out any treatment.

Straw color with golden rim. Aromas of hay, green apple, chamomile and a hint of honey. Bone dry and very salty in the mouth. Slightly bitter and mineral, with a long and refreshing finish.
