Cazcanes is a boutique distillery in Jalisco built around small batch, additive free production rather than the large scale, multi brand model common in the industry. Working from its own facility under NOM 1599, the distillery draws its process water from natural artesian springs in the San Pedro de los Landeros mountains, an ingredient the brand treats as central to its finished tequila's character.

No. 10 is made from certified organic Blue Weber agave, selected at peak sugar levels and cooked slowly in a low pressure autoclave over twenty four hours to lock in natural flavor. The juice is extracted through a four pass roller mill, fermented with proprietary yeast in stainless steel, and double distilled in stainless pots fitted with copper coils. Rather than diluting the spirit down to standard proof, Cazcanes bottles this expression directly at its natural still strength of 108 proof, after a short rest in stainless steel to let the flavors settle.

The nose is robust with cooked agave, tropical fruit, and citrus zest, layered with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of anise. On the palate, sweet agave meets black pepper, bright citrus, and an earthy, vegetal quality that carries real intensity without harshness. The finish is smooth and long, closing with lingering sweetness and a peppery, floral note.

"It’s a beautifully bold and expressive blanco, channeling the more gritty and herbal dimensions of agave that are often drowned in water or overshadowed by barrel aging. The nose is bright and green with agave pulp, bell pepper, basil, and a bit of pine sap. The palate is even more vegetal and fresh with a big smack of green agave accompanied by a bold, peppery heat that remains consistently piquant across the sip. Undertones of lime peel and fresh-squeezed orange juice offer up a bright sweetness on the midpalate, but cracked black pepper, chicory, and fennel keep things earthy and well-spiced into a long, honeyed finish of agave syrup and dried tropical fruits.
