Milkboy - Milk Chocolate with Caramel & Sea Salt 1.4oz Bar

The MilkBoy name dates back more than 100 years to a small dairy in Switzerland’s Emme Valley, where young herders called milkboys led the village cows down from alpine pastures at summer’s end. Founder Emanuel Schmerling, a third-generation chocolate producer, acquired the brand and launched MilkBoy Swiss Chocolates in 2014, with chocolate made in Switzerland and wrapped in paper-cut artwork by Swiss artist Esther Gerber.

This bar is made in Switzerland with milk from alpine meadows and Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa. The milk chocolate contains at least 24 percent milk solids and 33 percent cocoa solids, and is studded with crunchy caramel pieces made with cane sugar, butter, and whole milk powder. Sea salt, vanilla pods, and sunflower lecithin complete the recipe, which is gluten free, soy free, and non-GMO.

Creamy and milky with a silky melt, this bar opens with sweet caramel and toffee, buttery richness, and warm chocolate and honey aromas. The crunchy caramel pieces add texture and linger on the palate, and a restrained touch of sea salt finishes the bite, balancing the sweetness.
