Route 11 - Lightly Salted Potato Chips 6oz bag
Route 11 grew out of a family restaurant. Sarah Cohen’s parents, Edward and Fritzi, owned the Tabard Inn in Washington, D.C., and a Shenandoah Valley garden that supplied the kitchen led Edward to the idea of making potato chips. In 1992 Sarah fired up the first cooker in an old feed store in Virginia, and Lightly Salted, introduced in 1995, has been the company’s best seller ever since.
Just three ingredients go into this classic: select potatoes, expeller-pressed high-oleic sunflower oil, and unrefined sea salt. Fewer ingredients, the company says, make a better chip. The salt is Real Salt, taken from an ancient seabed in Utah and prized for its natural minerals. The chips are kettle cooked in small batches, are certified Non-GMO, and are gluten free.
Thin, delicate, and super crisp, these chips let the flavor of the potato come through. A light touch of mineral-rich sea salt provides clean, savory seasoning without masking the taste of freshly picked potatoes, and the result is a simple, satisfying chip with the warm richness of a great fried potato.
