Cédric Moussé is the 12th generation to run the family estate in Cuisles , in a small valley perpendicular to the Vallée de la Marne, grown on a unique schist subsoil under clay. He practices organic farming and makes wines that are precise, savory, and bright-fruited, with no oak influence — showing Meunier's pretty side: purity of fruit, white flowers, and subtle herbal tones.

The Rosé Eugène is crafted from 82% Meunier (a portion vinified as red wine) and Pinot Noir, drawn from a perpetual reserve stretching back to 2003. Saturated pink in the glass, it opens with preserved cherries, spice, quinine, orange peel, and toast — ripe and savory, with a lively, frothy mousse and an autumnal richness.  Bold enough to stand up to BBQ and umami-rich cuisines, it carries ample structure beneath its fleshy, expressive fruit. Drink now through the next 4–6 years.

92 Points
"The NV Brut Rosé Eugène is another terrific effort from Moussé. Brisk and vibrant in the glass, with lovely depth, this is a very versatile wine. Cranberry, mint, chalk, white pepper and slate are all finely delineated in
this attractive, mid-weight offering. The Rosé is essentially a blend of the 2023-base Blanc de Noirs Eugène (itself a perpetual reserve) and a second perpetual reserve of vintages 2022-2003. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter.
Disgorged: April 9, 2025.
