Antagonic Gin 750ml

Antagonic Gin comes from Cartavio Rum Company, a Peruvian spirits producer based in Lima best known for its rum portfolio. The brand was developed with the design agency Studio A, part of Interbrand, which built the concept around the idea of the antagonistic, the hidden, more intimate side of a person, deliberately breaking from the traditional British visual codes associated with premium gin. That dual identity carries through into the bottle's minimalist, geometric design, built around a moiré pattern meant to suggest two contrasting yet complementary faces.

The gin is distilled from fine base spirits and built around a compact, well-balanced botanical bill of juniper, coriander, citrus peel, cinnamon, and cloves. Rather than leaning into a single dominant note, the recipe favors integration, letting sweet spice and citrus develop alongside the juniper instead of competing with it, and the finished spirit is bottled at 40 percent alcohol by volume.

The gin pours crystal clear, with a subtle spiced aroma led by cinnamon and clove before coriander and juniper emerge, finished with a light citrus lift. On the palate, that same balance of citrus and sweet spice continues, with juniper present but restrained rather than dominant. The finish is dry and well integrated, without any single botanical overstaying its welcome.
