Hayman's Vibrant Citrus Gin 750ml

Vibrant Citrus comes from Hayman's, Britain's oldest family owned gin distiller, founded in 1863 by James Burrough, the great-great-grandfather of the company's current chairs, Miranda and James Hayman. Burrough was the first London distiller to introduce citrus as a defining botanical, a decision that shaped the London Dry style that followed and remains one of the family's signature innovations more than a century and a half later. Vibrant Citrus was developed as a modern homage to that legacy, built to push the citrus character of the original recipe further while keeping the same house style intact.

The gin starts from the same ten core Hayman's botanicals used across the range, juniper, coriander, angelica root, and the rest, distilled over the family's traditional two day process of steeping followed by copper pot distillation. For this expression, sun dried peels of mandarin, pomelo, kumquat, and Persian lime are distilled alongside that base recipe, adding a layer of exotic citrus depth rarely found in a classic London Dry. The result keeps juniper as the backbone while letting the citrus botanicals push forward more assertively than in Hayman's other gins.

The nose is vivid and tropical, opening with mandarin and lime zest before rich juniper settles in underneath. On the palate the gin turns bright and tangy, citrus carrying through a spicy midpalate to a clean, zesty finish. It adds real lift to a Gin Sour, and its citrus intensity also makes it an excellent match for a simple Gin and Soda.
