Mitravelas is one of the oldest family wineries in Nemea, founded in 1913 by two brothers and still tended by the same family five generations later. The estate is now overseen by Konstantinos Mitravelas at a modern winery equipped with the latest technology, working a ten-hectare property spread across a mosaic of alluvial, limestone, gravel, sand, and clay soils reaching elevations of up to 900 meters in the southeastern Peloponnese.

White on Grey comes from the Mantineia region, home to Moschofilero, a pink-skinned aromatic grape whose delicate perfume calls for careful, cool-temperature handling. The grapes are chilled and gently pressed within a day of harvest, with the must settled and racked before fermentation with selected yeasts at a controlled 15 to 16 degrees Celsius, a process designed specifically to protect the grape's fragile floral character. The finished wine spends about two months resting in tank before release.

Moschofilero produces one of Greece's most aromatic whites, and this bottling shows its typical intensity, with notes of primrose, rose, citrus, and exotic fruit that make the wine feel almost like a walk through a flower garden. The palate is light bodied and balanced, with crisp, zingy acidity and a touch of underlying spice on the finish. It works well as an aperitif or alongside grilled shrimp, pasta with basil, or light chicken dishes.
