The 2020 Azelia Barolo gathers Nebbiolo from seven distinct Langhe vineyards, blending plots across Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d’Alba for a complete site statement in every 750ml pour. Under the direction of Luigi and Lorenzo Scavino, the grapes undergo prolonged maceration and native yeast fermentation before maturing exclusively in large wooden casks. This technique preserves vibrant fruit expression while building the structural backbone characteristic of the appellation.

The aroma profile opens with a savory core of dark plum, scorched earth, and campfire ash, complemented by soft violet and wildflower accents. On the palate the wine stays lean and highly integrated, delivering crisp red cherry, iron-rich minerality, and polished tannins suspended in the bright, nervous acidity typical of well-aged Nebbiolo.
