2022 Ruggeri Corsini - Langhe Nebbiolo DOC (750ml)
Harvested in the 2022 growing season from Piedmont’s Langhe hills, the Ruggeri Corsini Langhe Nebbiolo DOC presents a medium-bodied Nebbiolo built for early drinking rather than extended cellaring. The vintage conditions yielded grapes with naturally high acidity and lower skin extraction, producing a red that retains classic regional structure while remaining immediately approachable.
The aromatic profile centers on red cherry, crushed rose, and gentle rustic spice, grounded by a trace of wet stone mineral. On the palate, crisp acidity and tightly woven tannins lift flavors of tart cherry, cranberry, and faint citrus peel. A lean, earthy mid-palate transitions into a clean, lingering finish that maintains freshness through the final sip without drying the mouth.
Bottled at 750 ml, this vintage’s balanced acidity and moderate tannin load make it highly adaptable across the table. It pairs reliably with mushroom risotto, tagliatelle tossed in truffle or wild mushroom sauce, herb-roasted chicken, veal chops, and herb-crusted pork. The wine also complements aged hard cheeses such as Parmigiano-Reggiano and Asiago.
Store in a cool, dark place until serving. Two hours before consumption, extract the bottle and pour into a wide bowl to allow air circulation. Decant for twenty to forty minutes to soften the early tannins and open the floral layers. Serve between 15–18°C (59–64°F) to preserve the bright fruit intensity while maintaining structural integrity.
