Packed with the fresh, fruit-forward character typical of northern Veneto, the 2024 Brigaldara Valpolicella DOC Classico draws its lineage from the Cesari family estate situated near San Floriano in the Valpolicella Classica zone. Grown at altitudes of 150 to 250 meters across the San Floriano and Marcellise hillsides, the blend leans heavily on Corvina and Corvinone, fortified by Rondinella and local native vines. Every bunch is hand-harvested and sorted in small crates to prevent berry damage before destemming and gentle pressing. Fermentation occurs at cooled temperatures with extended maceration, utilizing twice-daily pump-overs and a mid-fermentation délestage technique to extract balanced color and velvety tannins without overwhelming concentration. After aging in stainless steel for several months, the wine bottles with maximum primary fruit preservation.

A transparent ruby hue gives way to a vibrant nose dominated by ripe cherry, redcurrant, and blackberry, accented by delicate floral hints of candied violet and a whisper of spiced herbs. On the palate, brisk acidity anchors a juicy mid-palate, while soft, rounded tannins ensure immediate drinkability. The stainless-steel maturation highlights the long-cultivated terroir of the Marano valley floor, keeping the finish clean, structured, and thoroughly approachable in its youth.

This straightforward profile makes it highly adaptable at the dinner table. Serve it slightly chilled alongside cured meat platters, rustic breads, and firm regional cheeses. It aligns naturally with pasta dressed in tomato-based sauces, allowing the wine’s bright acidity to lift richer tomato flavors. Roasted poultry provides a complementary match, echoing the vintage’s subtle spice undertones without clashing with savory herbs. The standard 750ml bottle supports regular household rotation, delivering consistent Valpolicella Classico balance straight from Stefano Cesari’s century-old vineyards.
