2025 Pira, Enrico (Chiara Boschis) - Dolcetto d'Alba (750ml)
The 2025 Enrico Pira Dolcetto d’Alba delivers the bright, un‑oaked fruit profile typical of Monforte d’Alba through disciplined organic farming and straightforward stainless‑steel winemaking.
Grown across three parcels near the Ravera and Mosconi sites at roughly 400 meters above sea level, the vines root into clay‑lime marl intermixed with siliceous sandstone. Chiara Boschis took over the family estate in 1990 and began converting the vineyards to organic practices in 2010. After harvest, the grapes ferment and age in stainless steel for just a few months. Skipping barrel contact preserves the variety’s native acidity and keeps the wine light rather than extractive.
The wine pours a vivid ruby red with clear violet reflections. Aromatic focus lands immediately on violet blossom, marasca cherry, and wild strawberry, supported by secondary notes of small red fruit. Fine, soft tannins carry the palate through a clean, balanced finish that stays refreshing instead of heavy.
Serve this vintage lightly chilled alongside charcuterie boards, pizza, or simple weeknight pasta dishes. Its high pH balance and restrained tannin structure cut through salty cured meats and Tomato‑based sauces cleanly, making it a reliable option for casual indoor dinners or summer outdoor meals. Open the bottle soon after purchase to experience the freshest expression of the season’s harvest.
